that he needed growth hormone injections daily until he was 18 we had a struggle on our hands. His frequent trips to doctors have made him very nervous about needles and with pain. The support and home nurse were fantastic. The nurse was able to accommodate our schedule and come on a Saturday morning because we both work full time weekdays. She was extremely patient and informative, and let Alex look through the entire box of equipment and even practice doing injections on a plastic pad that mimics skin.
My son really loves the different faceplates that came with the easypod, he chose the tiger plate and even though Momentum gave us all the faceplate options we are a year and a half in and he's still using the cute tiger cover! Alex was also able to customize the picture and message that show up when you turn on the machine.
It took time and patience, but Alex is now able to do the injections himself.
While I'm sure Alex will still tell you that he doesn't like needles, he's so proud of himself for taking the injections. We count using the boxes - there are 100 in each box and we've just opened the fifth. When he has completed 500 needles we'll have to celebrate!
Personally, I am grateful for the company's customer service. Whenever we need more needles or batteries I just phone and they're at our house within a week, no questions asked. The nurses are available for questions and it's really made the process easier to not have to worry about the equipment side of things.
